Crash victim warns of texting dangers

HAMPDEN, Mass.—A Hampden father is speaking out about the dangers of texting while driving. He was seriously hurt in a car crash when he was doing just that. Rick Rubin remembers the terror he experienced on a Ludlow road in December. He was texting when his car veered off the road and slammed into a parked dump truck. … "We’re all guilty of it and I found myself swerving and I think I could have hurt a jogger or runner a lot of things could of happened," said Rubin. "You can wait till you pull over or where you’re going to text someone they can wait," said Rick’s 16-year old daughter Alex.
